The chips were shipped May 14th 1925.  Exactly a week later the Abrams Billiard Parlor was opened in New Orleans by a well known “sportsman” named Johnny Abrams.  It was reported to be the finest billiard hall south of Chicago, so top of the line chips make sense.  They did gamble at the place and use chips (see below).  It was located on the second floor of the Union Bank building at the south corner of Royal and Iberville (structure no longer exists).
