		 The chip was for the Institut canadien-français d'Ottawa / French Canadian Institute of Ottawa. It's a social club for French Canadians in Ottawa founded in 1852. http://www.institutcanadienfrancais.org/. When the chips were ordered in 1921 they were located at 123 Rideau in Ottawa (they moved to that location in 1920; there until 1956). Below is a pic from the 1930's--they shared the building with Banque de Nouvelle-Écosse / Bank of Nova Scotia or Scotiabank, which still has a bank on the property, but in a new building:  |
