The building was built in 1927
( Keystone Athletic Club opened JN. 1, 1929). The club
dissolved in 1934. The building became the 300-room Keystone
Hotel between 1934 and 1939. In circa 1951, the hotel was
a Sheraton Hotel, and in circa 1956 was a Sherwyn Hotel. The
Point Park University purchased the property in the 1960s and
dedicated it in 1968 as the David L. Lawrence Hall, in honor of
the former Pennsylvania governor. |
